Aum Earrings

AUM (pronounced Ohm) is used worldwide by yoga practitioners as a means of moving 
the mind into a state of meditation.  Its transformative power lies not in any belief system
but in its vibrational structure.  Because of its inherent properties, the sound of "AUM"
is said to have the capacity to open new dimensions and heighten perception.

Handed down from the Himalayan sages, AUM is respected as a "primal sound vibration."
According to tradition teachings, Yoga, Sanskrit, and the scriptures arise from the vibration
force of AUM.  AUM is mentioned  widely in the Tantras, Vedanta, Upanishads, and it
symbolizes the essence of Dharma.  Furthermore, it is an integral part of Janism, Sikhism,
and Buddhism and the mystical and philosophical teachings of India.  AUM was the
original mantra of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as its sound gave us the familiar
sounds of AMEN, and ALM of the Torah, Bible and Koran.

AUM is the most important mantra of yoga.
