war in heaven against satan and the final
day of judgement. The main alternating

by a representation of Judgement Day; a

of man outweighing the forces of evil,
and the sword of God smiting the
devil. Sculpted heads of the righteous
St. Michael and the vanquished satan
decorate the corners. The base carries
the word "Revelation," from which the
war in heaven is described, and a
quote from an old prayer seeking
St. Michael's protection: "May
Michael the standard bearer lead
them into the holy light. Revelation."
