Labyrinth Earrings  

The labyrinth is a means and method of fostering spiritual balance as well as
psychological, emotional and physical well-being.  Metaphorically speaking it 
is a  path that provides many twists and turns, but  no dead ends, as we
engage ourselves in life's spiritual journey.

With it's origins still a mystery, the labyrinth is found in places as diverse as
Egypt, India, Peru, Iceland, Arizona and Sumatra and as early as 2000 BCE.
One of the most famous is the 4-quadrant labyrinth (pictured here) which is found
in Chartres Cathedral in France which is considered to be "Sacred Space" by many
religions.  Notably, the Episcopal Church relates that the Sacred Space is where
people go to contact the realm that lies beyond the grasp of the five senses.  The
Labyrinth is the home of intuition and ancient wisdom.  When walking a labyrinth
by foot or coursing its pattern by hand and by meditating on its design, the
labyrinth serves as an oracle for receiving answers to life's troubling questions.

The labyrinth deepens the connection to our psychological and spiritual center.
